AFB 16x24x1 air filters are the perfect replacement for your air conditioning unit or furnace. The 16x24x1 nominal size filter has actual size measurements of approximately 15.5×23.5×0.75, a standard convention in the air filter industry as traditionally the actual measurements of the most widely used air filters are 0.25” to 0.5” smaller than the nominal size. However, if you have an odd-sized unit and know you need exact actual measurements of 16x24x1, you should purchase 16x24x1 (Actual) size replacements. These AFB 16x24x1 furnace filters come in 16x24x1 MERV 6 (AFB Bronze), 16x24x1 MERV 8 (AFB Silver), 16x24x1 MERV 11 (AFB Gold), and 16x24x1 MERV 13 (AFB Platinum) ratings. For most homes, we recommend the AFB Silver (MERV 8) replacement as a great filter for everyday use. However, if you live in an area with less than ideal air quality, have pets, or suffer from allergies, the AFB Gold and Platinum filters are well worth the investment.
